Senior Railway/Highway Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
The transport group works with public and private clients in a variety of transportation projects including metro, rail, highway, roads & streets and masterplans.
He/she will be responsible for design and/or project management of transport projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Take design/project ownership
- Support/Guide transportation projects’ designs
- Identify and understand client’s needs according to the technical specifications
- Check the conformity of the studies to the contracts
- Prepare/review drawings, reports, calculations, BOQs, and specifications
- Maintain positive relations based on trust with internal and external clients
- To ensure coordinated interface with all project team members and external consultants to deliver projects on time and to budget with quality output
- Preparing bid documents working on high profile and prestigious projects with tight deadlines to deliver
QUALIFICATIONS
A successful candidate should have:
- Bachelor and/or master’s degree in civil engineering from reputable universities
- At least 10 years of job experience preferably in transportation engineering sector including metro/railway, high speed train, highways and roads
- Experience in design and delivery of small and large-scale infrastructure projects
- Excellent command of English both written and verbal is a must. Candidate should be able to communicate and write reports in English
- Working experience in a multinational English-speaking environment
- Ability to interface and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, effective communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain a good relationship with the clients, willing to grow in an international environment
- Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office and CAD Applications, Autocad/Microstation/Autocad Civil3D/ OpenRail/ OpenRoads/ Rail Track SS2&SS4
- No travel restrictions (national & international)
- For male candidates’ military service must be completed
- Driving license is preferable
