The Opportunity

Contribute to shaping the future of transportation in Turkey and beyond. This role offers the chance to work on exciting local and international projects, developing your skills in road and highway design and collaborating with a team of experts.

As a Roads/Streets/Highway Engineer at Arup, you will:

  • Prepare conceptual and construction designs for road, street, and cycleway project.
  • Develop engineering designs, including the geometric design of highways and streets.
  • Review drawings, reports, calculations, bills of quantities (BOQs), and specifications, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Prepare bid documents for high-profile projects, working within tight deadlines.
  • Ensure coordinated interface with all project team members and external consultants to deliver projects on time and within budget, producing high-quality output.

 

Does this role inspire you?

We're looking for someone passionate about designing sustainable and efficient transportation infrastructure. We also value:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university.
  • 3-7 years of experience in transportation engineering.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects, both small and large-scale.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, including the ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Working experience in a multinational, English-speaking environment.
  • Strong ability to interface and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating effective communication skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver quality work, even within tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CAD applications (AutoCAD/Microstation/AutoCAD Civil3D/OpenRail/OpenRoads/Rail Track SS2&SS4).
  • No travel restrictions (national & international).
  • Completion of military service (for male candidates).
  • A valid driving license (preferred).
