The Opportunity

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Arup Serbia, you will play a key role in delivering innovative and sustainable electrical building services solutions across complex multidisciplinary projects in Serbia, the Balkans, and internationally.

You will work alongside some of the industry's leading engineers, architects and consultants, contributing to projects that positively impact communities and the built environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the design of electrical building services systems from concept through detailed design and construction support, delivering high-quality, energy-efficient and sustainable solutions.
• Collaborating closely with architects, engineers from other disciplines and project managers to achieve integrated and innovative design outcomes.
• Managing the production and review of technical drawings, calculations, specifications and design documentation in accordance with Arup standards.
• Supporting project delivery teams, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs and mentoring junior engineers.
• Engaging directly with clients, contractors and stakeholders, providing expert technical advice and building trusted long-term relationships.
• Contributing to business development activities, project proposals and the growth of Arup's presence across Serbia and Southeast Europe.

Who we are looking for

• A motivated and proactive engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in electrical building services design, including medium to large-scale and/or complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of international and local design standards and regulations.
• Experience leading design teams and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and electrical calculation software.
• Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Fluency in English is essential; Serbian language proficiency is required.
