The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Asset Management team in London as a Senior Consultant, to deliver advisory services across a variety of sectors (including transport, utilities, energy), in the UK and further afield. Our clients are continuously seeking more innovative and cost-effective approaches to deliver their daily services and ensure long-term economic, environmental and social sustainability. Within this role you will work on exciting projects with high-profile and major asset infrastructure owners/operators alongside our industry-leading colleagues. You will be applying the principles of asset management and leverage your skills, sector experience and your technical expertise to help clients overcome their challenges and support our business development.
Having a background with infrastructure assets, asset management/operations, or a related engineering discipline you will be looking to establish yourself as an advisory consultant applying your technical skills, experience and knowledge to support clients best manage their physical assets. You will have experience or awareness in several of the following aspects of whole-life asset management activities:
- Asset management strategy and policy & strategic investment planning.
- Asset management capability development & organisational structure & governance.
- Programme and Project Management.
- Maintenance optimisation.
- Business performance & operations including business case development and feasibility studies.
- Procurement and supply chain.
- Transformational Change, whole-life costing and risk and resilience.

Is this role right for you?
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Service delivery – leading delivery of commissions working with/within multi-disciplinary and consultancy teams, typically comprising a mix of other competences and sized according to the scale of the commission.
- Project management – responsible for commissions’ financial success, outcomes and compliance, including resource forecasting and invoicing.
- Build client relationship and support business development – including building internal and external networks, develop opportunities with clients, managing and preparing commercial bids/tenders.
- People management and development – professional development of others in the team, including line management duties.
We are looking for candidates with:
- A background working in or advising an infrastructure asset management organisation, including awareness of asset management principles in several of the above-mentioned whole-asset life management areas.
- Familiar with handling commercial bids / tenders and business cases.
- Experience leading others and supporting in their personal development.
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science, Maths, Economics, Asset Management, Infrastructure Finance, Business Administration and/or Development Finance.
- Relevant chartership, professional qualification and membership of a professional body, or equivalent work experience.
