The Role
We are looking for a Reporting Manager to join the Strategy Office promoting a major transformation programme. The Reporting Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful reporting across the programme. You will steer the development and continuous improvement of reporting frameworks, track programme performance, risks, issues, and benefits realisation, and promote executive governance through clear and result-focused reporting. The role reports to the Transformation Director.
In this role, key tasks include developing, managing, and continuously enhancing the programme reporting framework, templates, and governance cadence to ensure robust oversight and result-making. The person is accountable for producing high-quality, insightful reports, dashboards, and executive summaries that reflect programme performance, risks, issues, dependencies, financials, and benefits realisation. A core focus is on driving consistency and quality in reporting inputs across project managers, workstream guides, and enabling functions, while maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of programme data. This includes the creation and maintenance of dashboards and visualisations—such as those built in Power BI—to deliver real-time visibility of key metrics.
The role also involves preparing comprehensive reporting packs for Executive Board meetings and other key forums, ensuring that risks, issues, and decisions are clearly documented and escalated through appropriate channels. Additionally, it promotes the implementation of a benefits tracking framework, embedding it within reporting outputs, and fosters strong association with Finance, Risk, and other enabling teams to ensure alignment of information flows. Coaching programme teams and workstream owners on reporting tools, processes, and expectations is also a critical aspect of ensuring reporting excellence across the programme.
At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, allocate, and unite our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas.
You will have the opportunity do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.
Is The Role Right For You?

· You have a strong background in programme and portfolio reporting, governance, and executive-level communication.
· You are highly diagnostic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering clear insights that drive better conclusions.
· You enjoy working across complex programmes, coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders to present a clear and integrated view of progress.
· You are motivated by helping large organisations deliver transformational change successfully.
5+ years experience in a programme reporting, PMO, or portfolio management role within a complex change environment.

· Knowledge of producing and presenting reporting outputs for executive audiences.
· Strong business acumen and comprehension of programme financial management and benefits realisation.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· A strong foundation in risk management, issue tracking, and result escalation.
