Based in the Victorian Energy Team, with a primary focus on developing the pipeline of multidisciplinary renewable energy projects. 
Playing a leading role in accelerating the expansion of our Energy Business locally and regionally, this role will focus on positioning for, winning and delivering projects within the growing renewable energy industry. 
As a senior member of the Victorian Geography, you will form part of an established leadership team focused on the Energy sector. Your role will involve leveraging your extensive and established relationships across the renewables industry to bring Arup’s full service offering to bear with our clients.  
With direct experience in on- and/or off- shore wind projects, you would also play a leading role in delivering consultancy services for private developers and government clients, from strategic and technical advisory to delivery of designs and construction support.

What will I do?

  • Oversee and drive all business development initiatives, including the identification of new opportunities and the execution of comprehensive strategies in collaboration with senior management.
  • Develop and manage high-level client relationships and partnerships, maximizing revenue generation, while conducting in-depth market research and sophisticated competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide expert leadership in providing energy consulting services to clients, offering innovative solutions and in-depth knowledge.
  • Leading large-scale projects with multiple teams and stakeholders, developing project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies, managing project risks, and mentoring junior project managers.
  • Set and meet agreed budgets and deadlines.  In addition, this role may be accountable for managing the financial performance of specified areas;


    What will I bring?
  • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, commerce, law or similar area;
  • Relevant experience within a private/government client or consulting business environment
  • Proficiency in client relationship management
  • Relevant experience in the feasibility analysis and successful development of on- and/or off-shore renewable energy projects in Australia or internationally.
  • Direct experience working for or with off-shore wind developers in Australia is preferred.
