The Opportunity
Sitting within the Manila energy business, which sits in the wider Energy business group, you would fit into the established technical and consulting teams across the region. You will work on a range of local, regional and international assignments, predominantly as an experienced member of any one or more renewable energy project(s), and provide support on other related energy project, or as otherwise agreed with your Group Leader.

The role is based in Manila office.
Your role in our team
- Technical leadership in the delivery of renewable energy projects
- Works mainly without supervision, capable of leading a small team.
- Resource planning, supervision, management of engineering & design team for timely project delivery.
- Attends, participate and chair kick-off, progress and coordination meetings on various projects with clients’ / stakeholders’ higher level of engineers.
- Documents and archives project related documents such as correspondences, drawings and reports.
- Authors official documents and technical reports, including setting up the overall framework of the document.
- Coordinates work with other disciplines. Creates communication plan for team/project and writes and delivers key components of it.
- Lead resource, skills, and time planning for timely project delivery.
- Lead meetings and project presentations to clients .
- Maintain quality standards and client relations for the project.
- Assists with preparation of bids and proposals.
Is this role right for you?
- Licensed Mechanical or Civil Engineer; post-graduate studies (MSc or PhD) will be an advantage.
- With at least 8 years’ relevant experience (preferably gained from multi-disciplinary consulting firms and similar industries)
- Experience in developments of hydropower projects (e.g. run-of-river, impounding/dam hydro, mini-hydro schemes); experience in other renewable energy technologies such as solar and wind will be an advantage
- Knowledgeable on ANSI, ASME, NFPA, PSME, and other related standards and code of practice
- Hands-on and practical experience in AutoCAD and other 3D modelling tools
- Familiar and hands-on application with GIS will be an advantage.
- Familiar and hands-on application with programming, optimization and automation tools (e.g. Grasshopper, Dynamo, Power BI, Speckle) is an advantage.
