The role  

We have an opportunity for a corporate reporting analyst to join our team. You will be developing solutions that will make a real difference to our corporate services teams and to the products and services we deliver to our clients and customers. You should have a strong track record of delivery based on defined business requirements, as well as strong analysis skills.

The Business Intelligence, Apps and Automation team work closely with global and regional user groups, business analysts and corporate services to help identify, implement, and support business requirements relating to the Microsoft Power Platform (MPP).  Our team is distributed globally and currently consists of 5 team members.  

This role reports to the Business Intelligence, Apps and Automation service lead who is based in the UK.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Working closely with business stakeholders to gather high quality requirements and define specifications
  • Reviewing and contributing to documentation relevant to services e.g. Design, Service Transition to Support, Standard Operating Procedures, SLAs, OLAs
  • Developing an understanding of Arup’s corporate data and designing Power BI reports based on this
  • Contributing to knowledge capture by creating and updating knowledge articles to improve the support of the MPP
  • Evangelising the value of the MPP among pier in Digital Technology and the end user community
  • Resolving more complex end user issues and requests in Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps
  • Learning how to support new MPP products and assisting with project delivery
  • Integrating solutions with other applications and technology platforms
  • Requirements and skills

Essential skills and knowledge:

  • Experience (3 years +) of working in an analyst role in corporate systems
  • Ability to understand, document and present enterprise information
  • Evidence of identifying and implementing business/user requirements and experience in managing change to deliver small projects
  • Strong English written/verbal communication skills with both non-technical as well as technical audiences
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems and an openness in sharing your knowledge and thinking with others
  • Strong team working skills with ability to build trusted relationships with people and groups with diverse backgrounds
  • Experience with DevOps principles and techniques and how they can be best applied in a development environment

Desirable skills and knowledge:

  • Corporate systems reporting in Finance, HR, and CRM
  • Microsoft Power BI, Automate and Power Apps Experience
  • Ability to build, read and understand SQL
  • Working knowledge of IT service processes (ITIL) and best practices
  • Governance and implementation of the Power Platform tools
