The Opportunity

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), six month internship (practíca) running from July to January.

·       Assisting senior staff and gaining exposure on a variety of projects such as urban and regional planning, mobility and policy analysis, bicycle and pedestrian planning and development policy and economics

·       Conducting research and analysis both for project formulation and development as well as writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings

·       Supporting preparation of project presentations, workshops, graphic materials and coordination and project management activities both within the urban planning team and the broader office

·       Supporting administrative tasks

·       Coordinating with multiple disciplines and working in conjunction with project managers to help complete assigned tasks

·       Understanding trends and best practices in urban planning, community development, transport and urban logistics

·       Working towards a Bachelor’s degree (Pregrado) in Urban Studies, Urban Management

·       Excellent writing, analytical and research skills

·       Interest and academic experience with geospatial analysis (e.g., ArcGIS,), statistical and urban data analysis

·       Strong teamwork capabilities, and an outstanding sense of responsibility, contribution and achievement

·       Self-starter and ability to contribute to different teams and disciplines, and a diverse range of activities, including administrative

·       Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working  

·       Proficiency in MS Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, among others.

·       Advanced English Skills (verbal and written, B2 or above). Knowledge of Portuguese will be a plus. 

·       Must be enrolled at the following universities: Universidad de los Andes, Universidad Nacional de Colombia - Sede Bogota, Universidad del Rosario, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Universidad Central, Universidad Externado de Colombia and will need to apply through respective university portal in addition to completing an application here.
