The role will be based in Singapore and will support the delivery of urban design and masterplanning projects within Arup’s Cities / CPD portfolio. The role will contribute to city-scale and district-scale projects from early concept stages through to implementation, supporting projects across Singapore and Southeast Asia.
The position is intended for an urban design practitioner developing their professional experience, contributing to project delivery through design development, analysis, visual communication, and the use of digital design, spatial analysis, modelling, and visualisation approaches, including emerging data-informed and AI-assisted workflows, while working closely with project and discipline leaders within multidisciplinary teams.
The Opportunity
- Support the preparation of urban design outputs, including conceptual design material, diagrams, and presentation graphics, to contribute to effective project delivery.
- Assist in the development of urban design concepts and spatial strategies under the guidance of project leaders, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Contribute to the preparation of masterplans, urban design guidelines, and presentation materials across different project stages.
- Facilitate coordination within multidisciplinary teams and participate in project discussions, workshops, and stakeholder communications.
- Support bids, proposals, and broader business activities by preparing urban design and graphic materials as needed.

Is this role right for you?
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Urban Design, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
- Membership of relevant professional institutions or progress toward professional accreditation is desirable.
- At least with 3-5 years’ experience at leading design practices with a strong career focus on urban design and/or masterplanning.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Capability in Rhino, AutoCAD, or SketchUp.
- Awareness of Singapore’s planning framework, with familiarity or exposure to planning and development contexts within Southeast Asia considered advantageous.
