Our transport planning team in Manila is leading a wide range of exciting and multifaceted local and international projects. Clients include local developers, Local Government Units (LGU), the national government, as well as international development banks and foreign governments.
The Opportunity
The role is based in Manila office.
A Transport Planner will be responsible for concept planning, assessment, and design of transport infrastructure, including roads, bus and rail stations/terminals, and master plan developments. Additionally, the role involves conducting traffic impact analysis for new developments, encompassing circulation and accessibility schemes. The planner will also be tasked with planning and conducting traffic and infrastructure surveys. Reviewing and analyzing public transport services, route planning, and performance are key responsibilities. Furthermore, the planner will support senior staff in presentations and meetings with clients in Manila and across the Philippines, with potential assignments in the region.
- Undertaking concept planning, assessment and design of transport infrastructure (roads/buses/rail), as well as development master plans
- Supporting visioning, strategy, policy evaluation, and action plans for local, regional, and national transport master plans
- Conducting traffic impact analysis (TIA) for proposed developments including circulation and accessibility schemes
- Managing/planning traffic, pedestrian, and infrastructure surveys
- Liaising directly with clients and ensuring quality input to client, including quality control / assurance of local staff inputs
- Actively supporting the development local proposals with developers and LGUs
- Contributing to regional proposals and bid materials for international development banks and government clients
- Represent your team or discipline at internal meetings and potentially be responsible for organising events, activities or small internal business projects;
- Support and collaborate within the team to ensure that deadlines are met.
Is this role right for you?
- Bachelors in Transport Planning, Transport Engineering, Urban Planning, or Civil Engineering (or Other Relevant Field); Master’s in Transport Planning (or similar) preferred
- 6-8 years of relevant traffic and transport planning experience including traffic analysis, policy
assessment, design, and surveys. - Basic to moderate skills in GIS as well Cube / Vissim / EMME / Synchro
- Excellent writing, presentation skills, and analytical skills, with experience working directly with clients on projects and proposals
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Tagalog
- Willing to undertake domestic and some international travel
