As a Transmission & Distribution Technical Leader at Arup, Brisbane, you will guide the delivery of T&D solutions that support the energy transition. You’ll lead technical strategy for integrating renewables, grid modernisation, and resilience across complex infrastructure projects. You’ll also advise clients and collaborate across disciplines to shape clean, reliable, and future-ready energy systems.
Join our growing technical consulting team working across New Zealand, Australia, and internationally in the energy and renewable power sector. You’ll be involved in diverse projects spanning transmission, substations, solar PV, wind (onshore/offshore) and battery storage,.
The Opportunity
• Lead technical delivery of T&D projects, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions aligned with client and regulatory expectations.
• Develop and implement strategies for integrating renewable energy sources and modernising grid infrastructure.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex energy infrastructure projects across regions.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals, client engagement, and thought leadership in energy transition and decarbonisation.

Is this role right for you?
• Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or related field, with chartered status or equivalent preferred.
• Extensive experience in HV Substations, Primary and/or Secondary Engineering .
• Strong technical knowledge of renewable energy integration, smart grids, and energy storage systems.
• Prove leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivery complex infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, including client-facing experience.
