Technical Services Leader Singapore is a key role leading our business pursuits and major projects delivery in the Technical Services space across all our projects and clients. Assuming the positions of People Leader and Commercial Leader, this role entails accountability for guiding and fostering the growth of discipline leads and technical staff through mentoring and support. 
Often described as our key differentiator, the Technical Specialist Services Portfolio (TSSP) is our niche offering to market. It includes a suite of specialist experts across a range of disciplines like.

Acoustics, av and theatre design 
Fire
Facades
Specialist lighting
Risk, Security and Resilience
Unique offerings like wind and structural vibration.


The Opportunity

  • Drive the strategic direction and commercial performance of the team.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans in line with the Arup business strategy to achieve our annual business plan and multi-year integrated business plan targets.
  • Procure work, negotiate major contracts and manage financial performance in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Raise the team profile in strategic areas of focus and promote Arup’s suit of integrated technical solutions to increase impact of industry investment.
  • Manage client relationships and of represent Arup at a high level nationally and internationally.
  • Lead, coach and mentor the team; working through sub team leads including mentoring/coaching them, ensuring that they are set up for success. 

Is this role right for you?

  • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar area.
  • Relevant experience in Technical Specialist Services Portfolio (TSSP) within a consulting business environment. It includes a suite of specialist experts across a range of specialist disciplines.
  • Relevant experience in managing large multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership
  • Chartered membership of a relevant institution, or equivalent professional body.
