As a Technical Leader – Renewables at Arup, Brisbane, you will lead the delivery of renewable energy solutions that support the energy transition. You’ll drive technical strategy for integrating solar, wind, and battery storage into complex infrastructure projects. You’ll also advise clients and collaborate across disciplines to shape clean, reliable, and future-ready energy systems.

Join our growing technical consulting team working across Australia, New Zealand, and internationally in the energy and renewable power sector. You’ll be involved in diverse projects spanning solar PV, onshore/offshore wind and battery energy storage.

 

The Opportunity

 

  • Lead technical delivery of renewable energy projects, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions aligned with client and regulatory expectations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for integrating renewable technologies into grid and infrastructure systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex energy projects across regions.
  • Support business development by contributing to proposals, client engagement, and thought leadership in energy transition and decarbonisation.

 

 

Is this role right for you?

 

  • Relevant qualifications in electrical, mechanical or renewable energy engineering, with chartered status or equivalent preferred.
  • Extensive experience in renewable energy technologies (solar PV, wind, battery storage) and associated grid integration.
  • Strong technical knowledge of secondary electrical design, smart grids, and energy storage systems.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, including client-facing experience.
