The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Sustainability Consultant to support the Sustainability & Climate team in consulting services, especially in relation to sustainable certification of buildings and projects, climate change or carbon management to join our team in Mumbai. The successful candidate will become a permanent member of our creative, friendly team and will work on a variety of exciting projects, both in the India and internationally. You will have excellent technical, and software skills and enjoy working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams, supporting projects from inception to completion. 
Reporting directly to a Senior Management, you will be a key member within our close-knit and multidisciplinary team working on a wide variety of exacting, high-profile and challenging projects.  From day one, you’ll be given responsibility to help contribute to a range of varied and high-profile clients but will also be supported in learning about engineering and developing your skills and capabilities. Our current workload comprises a mix building and infrastructure projects.
Leading and managing project delivery for a broad range of building, infrastructure, city planning and advisory projects, addressing how design endeavours respond to sustainability goals and will represent Arup in internal and external client engagements, providing sustainability advice on building performance, city planning and climate (decarbonisation & adaptation) services. You will support business development, pipeline planning and growth for the team, through collaboration with the Climate and Sustainability Services leadership team.
The role includes managing a range of sustainability projects, delivery, technical oversight. undertaking and review energy modelling, CFD simulations, carbon assessment, and other building physics. Additionally, you will develop and train consultants in sustainable development and project management, and communicate with clients to meet their needs while adhering to standards and deadlines

We'd love to hear from you if you have 
•    Minimum 10+ years of experience in leading projects involving building sustainability design, carbon assessment, net zero transition and sustainability advisory with Analysis and interpretation skills in solar radiation, CFD, thermal comfort, energy modelling, daylighting, glare and whole life carbon assessment and               excellent in preparing technical sketches.
•    Recognised relevant qualifications in Engineering or Architecture Degree or similar area. Master in Sustainability will be valuable
•    Experience in ESG / Corporate Sustainability Strategy and Reporting (GRI, TCFD), sustainability assessments and ratings, sustainable design, Net Zero carbon/GHG strategy and action plans (SBTs), Management Systems/Standards (ISO14001, ISO20121, PAS2060, PAS2080) and/or sustainable finance ispreferred.        Knowledge and interest in sustainable building design in terms of both energy and carbon, challenging yourself and the rest of the design team to achieve the optimum outcome for the project.
•    Experience in the design software such as – Rhino, Revit, Sketch-up, AutoCAD, Grasshopper, Ladybug, Honeybee, OneClickLCA, IESVE and basic scripting capabilities would be highly advantageous with Certified accredited professional of sustainability rating system (e.g. Green Mark, LEED, WELL, Living Building         Challenge, EDGE, GRI)
•    Dedicated to the delivery of projects, and the development of the team and business as a whole, has commercial acumen and being efficient in delivering work and improving profitability with excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
•    Flexible to travel for project/site work and to the needs of the business, and changes to project plans
