The Opportunity
Are you ready to make a direct impact on the future of sustainable buildings? As a Sustainability Consultant you’ll be a key part of Arup’s green building initiatives, focusing on international certification frameworks like LEED, WELL and BREEAM.
You’ll have opportunities to grow, tackle climate change challenges, and be part of energy-efficient design teams.
As a Sustainability Consultant at Arup, you will:
- Support LEED/WELL certification processes for a range of projects, ensuring sustainable, high-quality outcomes that exceed client expectations.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver energy-efficient designs that meet or exceed LEED standards.
- LEED/WELL project management carrying out site visits.
- Incorporationg sustainable principles during competition and early-stage design phases.
- Application of EU Taxonomy/DNSH and Italian CAM
Does this role inspire you?
We're looking for someone who is passionate about bringing the sustainable practices into the built environment. The essential skills and knowledge are:
- Master’s degree in architectural or engineering or environmental sciences.
- Understanding of main aspects of low carbon strategies for buildings and masterplans (embodied and operational).
- 2-4 years of experience on environmental and wellbeing certifications (e.g. LEED, WELL).
- Good knowledge of basic Office package programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and CAD programs.
- Good level of Italian and English (at least B2).
- Able to work in multidisciplinary teams & systems thinking analytical capabilities.
The desirable skills and knowledge are:
- LEED Green Associate.
- Experience on BREEAM certifications.
- Knowledge of building services (especially mechanical/air-conditioning services).
- Embodied carbon tool (e.g. OneClick).
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards.
- Basic knowledge of building physics and understanding of main aspects of active/passive strategies for buildings and masterplans.
- International study/work experience.
