About this role
A structural engineers should display an investigative nature and must be accurate, commercially aware, and have great communication skills with a keen interest in ensuring the safety and physical integrity of buildings and other large structures.

What will I do?

  • You will be required to work with minimal supervision in your area of responsibility, and you may be accountable for defined parts of design projects;
  • Provide detailed design work across a broad range of projects within structural engineering;
  • You will represent your team or area at internal meetings and you may be responsible for organising events, activities or small internal business projects;
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of tender submissions and presentations;
  • Prepare project reports summarising key assumptions, design methodologies, and conclusions and recommendations;

What will I bring?

  • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Structural Engineering or similar area;
  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Buildings Structures within a consulting business environment.  
  • Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership;
  • Ability to maintain personal effectiveness particularly during periods of higher than normal workload.  
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments;
