We have an opportunity for a Structural Engineer, who is looking for technically challenging work on cutting-edge projects, to join one of our established Building Engineering teams in London. We are a team of approximately 40 structural engineers and technicians within a team of 100 multidisciplinary engineers and work closely with our colleagues in other buildings teams in London and beyond, and designers from across Arup.

The Opportunity
As part of our team, you’ll be involved in shaping some of the most innovative buildings worldwide. Our focus lies in the property sector, with a diverse portfolio spanning sectors such as commercial, residential and science, with a keen interest in both new-build and retrofit projects. Our projects range from major London office towers like 50 Fenchurch Street or Vista to smaller scale property retrofits and refurbishment like 1 Triton Square and Ruskin Square, alongside social infrastructure such as the British Library Extension or the London Cancer Hub. Is this role right for you?
We are looking to speak to people who:
- Demonstrates a passion for structural engineering, a flair for structural engineering design, and a practical understanding of buildings.
- Enjoys working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams
- Demonstrates a strong ability to communicate through sketching, drawing, presentations and in writing.
- Collaborates with other members of the structural team to produce drawings, specifications and other deliverables to a high quality, on time and to budget.
- Is striving to achieving chartership in the next few years, committed to their own professional development and looking for challenging work to develop their engineering skill.
