At Arup we have opportunities for Structural Engineers, who are looking for technically challenging work on cutting-edge projects, to join our established Building Engineering teams in London.
Across our London Building Engineering business we have over 200 structural engineers and technicians.

Our teams are multidisciplinary and typically range from 100-250 engineers, with 40-80 structural staff. Each team works closely with the other buildings teams in London and beyond, as well as designers from across Arup.

The Opportunity

As part of our team, you’ll be involved in shaping some of the most innovative buildings worldwide. We are currently involved with over 250 projects from concept design through to practical completion. Our projects span the property, science and industry sector.They range from major London office towers like 50 Fenchurch Street or 8 Bishopsgate to smaller scale property retrofits and refurbishment, alongside social infrastructure such as the British Library Extension or the London Cancer Hub and transport buildings such as London Euston Station, Sydney metro or Athens International Airport and a variety of unique projects such as the Sagrada Familia.At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Is this role right for you? 
We’re looking for a candidate who;

  • Demonstrates a passion for structural engineering, a flair for structural engineering design, and a practical understanding of buildings.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to communicate through sketching, drawing, presentations and in writing.
  • Collaborates with other members of the structural team to produce drawings, specifications and other deliverables to a high quality, on time and to budget.
  • Is striving to achieving chartership in the next few years, committed to their own professional development and looking for challenging work to develop their engineering skill.
