We are seeking individuals with experience and interest in providing physical security consulting and design services. The successful candidate will work alongside architects and engineers in the delivery of security strategies for the protection against hostile vehicle, blast, ballistic and/or forced entry threats for a variety of clients.

Responsibilities of this specific role will include, but not be limited to the following:
•    Conduct drawing and specification reviews to support design teams with integration of protective design measures.
•    Protective design product research and vetting to advise clients and design teams.
•    Preparation of drawings, sketches, and specifications to communicate design intent and performance requirements of protective design measures.
•    Construction administration, inclusive of contractor submittal reviews, responding to RFIs and field supervision and inspection.
•    Collaborate within a multi-discipline design team to develop innovative solutions to address security threats and risks.
•    Contribute to threat and vulnerability assessments for security conscious clients.
•    Contribute to internal technical research initiatives and seek to improve existing methods and processes.

Qualifications

Required:

•    Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in same or similar field.
•    Experience in construction administration, specifically conducting field inspections, creation of field reports and communicating findings with owners and contractors.
•    Degree in civil or structural engineering, or similar area.
•    Fundamental knowledge of structural mechanics
•    Candidate must not require sponsorship, now or in the future to be considered for this role. 

Preferred:

•    Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering 
•    Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) written examination with intent to become a Professional Engineer (PE).
•    Experience with LS-DYNA, Hypermesh, Strand7, and other FEA tools
•    Formal training in advanced topics such as structural dynamics, solid mechanics, materials, blast and impact engineering, materials or others
•    Experience developing and applying digital tools, codes and scripts in relevant analysis or design applications 
•    An understanding of holistic security strategy
