Founded in 1946, we are the creative force at the heart of many of the world’s most prominent projects in the built environment, including the Sydney Opera House, the London Eye, and the Beijing National Stadium (aka the Bird's Nest). Projects in the Americas include Fulton Street Transit Center in NYC, USA, California High-Speed Rail, USA, the Las Vegas Observation Wheel, USA, and in Colombia: the Atrio Towers, Sarmiento Angulo Performing Arts Center, Barranquilla public spaces Master Plan, and 12 Lender Technical Advisor roles for 4G highway projects. 

We are currently seeking a Social Consultant to provide socially sensitive and sustainable solutions to unique engineering challenges.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INVOLVE:

  • Develop innovative solutions to social impacts and risks.
  • Independently evaluate, select, and apply domestic and international E&S standards related to free, prior, and informed consent with ethnic communities, resettlement and property acquisition processes, grievances systems, archeological surveys, labor and work conditions.
  • Coordinate and consult with local regulatory agencies on scope and impact of projects when necessary
  • Attend meetings with clients to address their needs and discuss social issues.
  • Support the E&S advisory team in Colombia
  • Assist and produce reports for E&S Due Diligence and Monitoring processes in Colombia and Latam

Qualified professionals will have a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Sociology, Economy or any Social Science related profession, with 3-5 years of professional experience in infrastructure projects (roads, energy, rail, ports, etc.); good interpersonal skills essential for team-based working, and must possess excellent written, verbal, presentation and communication skills with colleagues and clients of all levels in English and Spanish.
