Are you ready to take on an outstanding and exciting opportunity in Toronto? We are seeking an ambitious and meticulous Site Project Quality Lead to join our team! In this role, you will ensure flawless delivery of engineering projects, contributing to our mission of providing world-class solutions!

The opportunity  

  • Understand and implement Arup Project Quality Management System and Oversight Guides.
  • Review and understand Arup contract requirements and client expectations regarding quality of work.
  • Supervise and report project critical metrics, and lessons learned and important metrics.
  • Perform field quality surveillance and audits of work elements during construction and upon their completion, referencing Constructor design and construction documentation.
  • Supervise Constructor’s Hold and Witness Points activities and relevant records.
  • Review Constructor quality documentation and records. Analyze inspection and test data, and verify compliance with relevant codes, standards, and constructor contract requirements.
  • Identify nonconformities, review and verify Constructor’s proposed corrections and corrective actions, and closeout activities.
  • Attend project meetings as required.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly quality dashboards, and update quality-related information in the monthly progress report.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with project collaborators to ensure successful project outcomes.

Is this role right for you?

  • Minimum five years of experience in field quality inspections of implementing inspection and test plans for works and materials.
  • Sound knowledge of methods and practices relating to tunnelling, bridge, and stations.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 standard and have completed an auditor course.
  • Proficient in using computer tools for functions such as data collection, analysis, and report preparation (MS Excel, Word, etc.).
  • A valid Province of Ontario Class ‘G’ driver’s license.
  • Must have or rapidly acquire an extensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders, including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to employees.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
  • Handle confidential assignments, requiring tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and determine courses of action.
  • Excellent at working closely with clients and other project collaborators.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to perform under pressure and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Can work at the site and align with safety requirements.

Toronto Hiring Range – The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Toronto is $97,000 to $115,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note, hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Toronto will differ.
