The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Water professional to undertake business development, manage projects and build a team to deliver local projects in a changing climate within the water sector and will play a key role in shaping our water projects and expanding opportunities within India. This will initially be focused on flood risk management, hydrology and river health aspects, but with opportunities to expand into several different focus areas.
You will design technical input will range from advising clients on strategy and policy to design input for masterplans, feasibility studies, concept design as well as detailed design and implementation. Local knowledge is key, but also the ability to work with teams across the UKIMEA and support projects across this region is extremely beneficial. The professional should be keen on developing the local and regional business; working on our current projects and with the UKIMEA in delivery of other existing frameworks across the region, such as the Environment Agency. This will include technical support, and project and people management to understand the scale of the potential and seeking out and driving future opportunities.

Is this role right for you
• Master’s in water resources/Hydraulics/Env/Structural Engineering. Focus areas covering Climate Change and Sustainability are preferred, with an overall experience of 12-15 years. If you have a PhD degree, at least 3 Years from the PhD experience will be counted as Work Experience.
• Experience of working on Indian projects with Govt and Private Client. Experience of working in GIDs/GDCs with countries such as Australia, Singapore, UK and US are highly preferred with Experience preparing and submitting tenders and bids and highlighting opportunities.
• Experience of performing hydrological analyses of catchment, rainfall analyses such as development of IDF, hydraulic analyses of drainage system, development of design basis and drainage infrastructure sizing with Advance level expertise in Hydrological and Hydraulic Modelling Tools such as ICM Infoworks, HEC RAS and HEC HMS, is critical.
• Experience of developing and leading a team, direct client facing for project delivery and business development purposes, construction supervision of stormwater drainage infrastructure is mandatory.
• Experience of working with spatial tools, such as GIS, and ability to integrate of modelling outputs with GIS platform is desirable.
• Knowledge of integrating outputs from Civil 3D, AUTO CADD with catchment hydraulic models (particularly for catchment modelling and drain sizing) is critical.
