About this role
This role is an amazing, new opportunity for a highly motivated Waste & Resource Management Consultant to join our team of professionals in the Brisbane office, and work regionally with the wider team. If you have experience and/or interest in (energy from waste, organic waste treatment, waste and resource recovery infrastructure master planning, circular economy, strategy and policy advice, and contracts and procurement), this role could be for you!

What will I do?

  • Manage small to medium projects.
  • Be responsible for meeting deadlines, monitoring budgets, and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets in your own area. 
  • Represent Arup at internal and external events. You may be responsible for designing and delivering events, activities and projects which impact the business. 
  • May be responsible for the performance and development of others through providing guidance, training, direction and feedback.
  • Work on waste-based projects and support other disciplines with waste management plan projects and design advice.  

What will I bring?

  • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Environmental/Civil/Mechanical/Chemical/Process), Environmental Science or similar area. 
  • Relevant industry experience (5 years plus) in waste and resource management within a consulting business environment. 
  • Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership. 
  • Experience that includes working on strategic / policy, feasibility studies, due diligence and technical review studies, project development as well as infrastructure procurement and environmental approvals. 
  • Proven experience delivering waste management plans and strategies (operational and construction) and providing design advice.
