POL000016 Requisition #

A career at Arup offers you the chance to make a positive difference in the world. Independently owned and independently minded, we attract a diverse mix of people to work on ground-breaking global projects. We have an ambitious commitment to be the digital leader in the built environment and have digital teams and experts all over the world, who collaborate on world-leading software, data and technology projects and products. Being a global team means we value people with diverse experiences, backgrounds, specialisms and skills.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a technical lead to join our global development team specialising in technical software for geotechnical engineering design and analysis. You will be developing Oasys, a world-leading geotechnical engineering software suite that has been used on high profile infrastructure projects like Crossrail, Copenhagen Metro and many more.

Our team is a mix of geotechnical specialists and software developers in different locations around the world, who work to define and develop new features as well as refine and optimise the existing ones.

The role

This role will combine software development with the opportunity to influence the technical direction of the software, planning, designing and leading the implementation of our technical solutions.

You will be working in our team of engineers, software developers and devops to design, implement, test and deliver high-quality, robust software applications for Windows and Azure, written in C++20 and C#, with UI development in JavaScript using Chromium and Vue.js.

“Just before joining Oasys I had several job offers to pick from. Of course, the one thought on my mind after accepting the job was “I hope I made the right choice”. Looking back, it was the best possible decision I could have made. I am now surrounded by the most supportive, intelligent, creative people I could wish for. Oasys and Arup encourage all employees to think outside the box, to innovate and to be themselves. It is a truly unique place to work.”
Norbert, London
