The Opportunity

Reporting to one of our Rail Systems Team Leaders, you will work on a wide variety of rail projects both in the UK and further afield. These projects range from small assignments, for example conducting research or solving a particular problem for a client, to “mega-projects” such as the modernisation of an entire rail network over many years.

As a Senior Rail Systems Engineer we are looking for someone can apply systems engineering principles as well as having depth in one or more disciplines such as rolling stock, communications, signalling, power and track.  We are keen to recruit engineers who are curious to learn and not afraid to cross between disciplines.

Is this role right for you? 

If so, you’ll have:

  • An Engineering or Science degree.
  • Chartership
  • Published papers or given talks in the field of Rail Systems at external events.
  • A good comprehension of working on UK based projects and ground conditions.
  • Led teams to deliver successful outcomes.
