As a Senior Rail Signalling Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, delivery and assurance of railway and metro systems across Asia. Based in our Kuala Lumpur office, you will provide technical leadership in rail signalling while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable and high-performing rail infrastructure solutions. You will also contribute to business growth by leading proposal development, responding to tenders and supporting clients across the full project lifecycle.

The Opportunity

• Lead and support the design and development of rail signalling systems, delivering high-quality engineering solutions across all stages of the project lifecycle. 
• Prepare and review signalling engineering documentation, including signalling schemes, system requirements, interface specifications, test procedures and technical reports. 
• Apply systems engineering principles while supporting safety assurance, RAMS, verification and validation activities in accordance with relevant industry standards. 
• Coordinate technical interfaces with multidisciplinary teams, including rolling stock, traction power, telecommunications and operations, while providing support during installation, testing and commissioning when required. 
• Develop proposals and tender submissions for new opportunities, while contributing to technical reviews, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the rail team.

Is this role right for you?

• A degree in Electrical, Electronic, Systems Engineering or a related discipline, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in rail or metro signalling engineering. 
• Strong knowledge of railway signalling principles and experience with modern signalling systems such as CBTC, ETCS/ERTMS, ATP or ATO. 
• A sound understanding of signalling and safety standards, including CENELEC EN 50126, EN 50128 and EN 50129, with experience in safety assurance, RAMS and systems engineering processes. 
• Proven experience preparing structured technical documentation, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, and supporting testing, commissioning and requirements management throughout project delivery. 
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with professional accreditation (or progress towards Chartered Engineer or equivalent) and a willingness to travel across Asia for short-term project assignments.
