We are an employee-owned organisation which allows our members a unique opportunity to have a real say in our companies’ future and development and the exciting opportunities it can deliver.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our established and growing Programme & Project Management (PPM) team. You will be part of a diverse collaborative team responsible for the successful delivery of our project and programme management commissions across all our markets and clients, with an initial primary focus on the delivery of major complex building projects.

The Opportunity

  • Be accountable for the successful delivery of projects, including for the work of others and be actively involved with business development and client management activities.
  • Be responsible for a range of significant and complex activities on projects with external clients and internally across Arup.

  • Undertake other assigned professional project management activities focused on the delivery of technically complex engineering projects.
  • Manage and assist more junior project managers, consultants and engineers to undertake project work and develop their skills and experience.
  • Lead the development of bids and proposals.

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas.

You will have the opportunity do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.

Is this role right for you?

  • 10+ years’ project and programme management experience, including 5+ years as a senior project manager.

  • Tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, business management, or similar, with recognised PM certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, MSP).

  • Professional membership with APM, PMI, IPMA, or AIPM.

  • Proven ability to lead complex projects/programs across scope, cost, time, risk, quality, and resources, with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and digital project management skills, combining practical and theoretical knowledge.
