We are currently seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to lead the efforts on the design of a variety of infrastructure projects across Canada. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers and will have the following responsibilities:

  • Provide management and coordination to the project delivery process by overseeing and directing the design, consulting and construction teams from the Prime Consultant position, while interfacing with the client
  • Foster creativity and innovation working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and deliver high quality technical excellence;
  • Direct, organize and oversee the design and construction process engaging multi-disciplinary design and construction teams;
  • Understand the Client’s goals and aspirations and maintain them as a reference point throughout the project - communicate to project team
  • Facilitate the Client user groups and stakeholder meetings;
  • Facilitate, track and actively bring resolution to project decisions and issues with the team and client.
  • Organize, facilitate and chair project meetings. Production of project meeting agendas and minutes
  • Create or direct the creation of various management plans required for the project.
  • Support the Project Manager in establishing and monitoring the project scope, budget schedule and resource plan for the client’s team
  • Identify change and engage in the change management process through creation of change orders and liaison with the client and team
  • Coordinate communication and flow of information between project team members and ensure it is being considered in the design.
  • Coordinate activities and deliverables between project team members to ensure a coordinated design and effort. Organize, direct and lead Interdisciplinary coordination including design review workshops.
  • Oversee the production of high quality, coordinated, on time deliverables that meet the project intent and client needs
  • Assess client needs and identify relevant connections with Arup capabilities
  • Develop broad technical knowledge and awareness to facilitate management of technical disciplines


  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline.
  • P.Eng designation or other professional accrediation is desirable (Eligible for Membership with PEO)
  • 5+ years’ experience within a project management in the consulting services industry and projects $1M+
  • Knowledgeable about design and construction processes and terms.
  • Previous experience preparing and managing construction documents.
  • Excellent client service/management, interpersonal, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, MSWord, MSExcel and MS Project Management.
  • Desirably have experience with construction contract document preparation and management



  • Self-motivation, energetic and an eager to learn and grow professionally. A results oriented approach with the ability to take responsibility.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills needed to compete tasks within deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
  • Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
