Senior Program and Project Manager – Transit

Our Toronto Rail business is looking for an experienced Senior Program and Project Manager – Transit, to join our growing program, project and commercial management team. We are looking for someone who would help support major project delivery and business development activities for our key clients in the transit and rail markets. 
 

The opportunity  

You will lead the management and oversight of all aspects of project and program delivery. You will also be responsible for but not be limited to: 

•    Represent Arup as the day-to-day project manager on a diverse range of Transit projects including light rail transit, bus rapid transit, mobility hubs, maintenance and storage facilities, and transit priority projects;
•    Support the Rail Discipline Leader on a range of business development activities including developing client relationships and preparation of bids; 
•    Working as part of a team to deliver work, in full compliance with Arup Management System requirements and/or Client platforms; 
•    Integration and management of multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality output; 
•    Develop own skills to ensure ongoing flexibility and value to clients; and 
•    Support the development of new service offerings.

Is this role right for you?

•    Fluent in English a must, Fluent in French a plus
•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management; 
•    Minimum 10 years of project and / or program management in transit planning and engineering 
•    Professional Certification in the PMP environment is a plus; 
•    Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; 
•    Experience of Alternative Project Delivery models such as Design-Build, P3 etc.; 
•    Experience in Procurement of design and construction contracts on behalf of external clients; 
•    Experience as a co-located member of project teams working for external clients is an advantage; and 
•    Strong proficiency in Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and P6
•    Good communication skills

Toronto Hiring Range – The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Toronto is $130,000 to $140,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note, hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Toronto will differ.
