About this career opportunity


We have a Senior Engineer position in the Energy team in providing specialist power systems advice and services to internal and external clients. The team is involved in a wide range of power system projects in the energy.

Working across the Transmission and Distribution sectors, our projects span across HVAC and HVDC feasibility and FEED, HVAC and HVDC Design, project management, techno-economic assessments, and Regulatory and Advisory services supporting our clients in areas such as solar, wind and interconnectors, utilities, data centers and industrial facilities. Familiarization with relevant electrical codes and standards within the T&D environment. Guiding HV projects or tasks in a technical capacity.
 Familiar with transmission network planning in Africa and/or Middle East. Preparing functional specification of HV equipment.

This position will be based in the Johannesburg Office (flexible home working) and integrated within a wider Energy team based in South Africa.

Is this role right for you?

·        MSc, MEng or BEng, BSc degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Power Systems or similar

·        Experienced in the design and/or delivery of High Voltage electrical systems within a manufacturer, developer, owner, contractor, or consultant capacity.

·        Experienced in modelling and analysis of High Voltage electrical networks.

·        Hands-on knowledge of at least two major power system analysis software: Digsilent PowerFactory, PSS/e, Matlab, PSCAD and RSCAD
