As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of mechanical building services across a diverse portfolio of property projects. You will combine strong technical capability with project delivery, client engagement and team leadership, working collaboratively across disciplines to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will also support the development of less experienced engineers, contribute to technical excellence within the team and build strong relationships with clients and industry partners.

The Opportunity

• Lead the concept and detailed design of mechanical building services across a diverse range of property and building projects.
• Take technical ownership of mechanical design packages, including calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Work directly with clients, architects, contractors and consultants to develop practical, coordinated and high-quality engineering solutions.
• Manage mechanical workstreams and small project teams, including planning, resourcing, programme, quality and technical delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical excellence and support client engagement, proposals and business development activities..

Is this role right for you?

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant mechanical building services experience, ideally within an engineering consultancy.
• Strong technical capability in HVAC and associated mechanical building services, with experience delivering property projects from concept through detailed design and delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of mechanical design packages and coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills, with experience guiding and reviewing the work of junior engineers and designers.
• Good working knowledge of relevant local and international codes, standards and regulations, with membership of a relevant professional institution or progress towards professional accreditation.
