Our Building Services team in Madrid sits at the heart of Arup's commitment to sustainable development. We engineer innovative and energy-efficient solutions that minimize environmental impact while creating comfortable, healthy, and high-performing spaces. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across Spain and potentially internationally, collaborating with experts from various disciplines.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Arup, you will:
- Lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for a range of building types, from commercial and residential to cultural and educational facilities.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other specialists to deliver integrated and sustainable building solutions.
- Oversee the specification and selection of mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with performance and sustainability criteria.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Does this role inspire you?
We're looking for someone passionate about sustainable building design and innovative engineering solutions. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 15+ years of relevant experience, demonstrating expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (C1 level).
