The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary teams in Mauritius. We pride ourselves on our extensive collaborative network and our strength in numbers. 

Your primary tasks include:

You'll use your expertise in MEP engineering to work with cross-disciplinary teams and deliver successful design outcomes, managing and overseeing multidisciplinary projects, providing technical assistance, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers. You will steer feasibility studies, design work, and on-site activities for building projects, both new constructions and refurbishments, contributing to the overall management of MEP projects, ensuring successful project delivery within budget and timelines. You will drive the digital transformation of the organization, seeking automation opportunities, and utilizing integrated digital design approaches. Proficiency in Revit is mandatory, and you will be expected to become proficient within your probation period.

You will Interpret client briefs, developing designs, and collaborating with external partners to explore and convey design solutions, bringing innovation and best practices to projects, sharing knowledge, and providing guidance and training to the team. You will take overall accountability for the design, technical delivery, quality, and management of complex projects. Mentoring and developing a high-performing engineering team. Planning and organizing your time effectively to meet project requirements and deadlines. Preparing specifications, proposals, and documentation using standard methods and techniques.

Building and maintaining client relationships will play a big part in your role to ensure customer satisfaction and future business prospects. Adhering to office procedures, standards, and legislative requirements related to workplace behaviour and safety. In summary, as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will utilize your expertise to collaborate on projects, manage teams, deliver successful designs, and contribute to the digital transformation of the organization.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for individuals with the following experience –

  • Knowledge in the successful design and delivery of the main Building Services Mechanical systems such as HVAC, sustainable design, and be conversant with public health systems and electrical infrastructure.
  • Strong project management skills, including financial accountability for projects.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt to changing conditions.
  • High standards, motivation, and ability to inspire others.
