The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to lead major projects for Arup, both locally and globally. Our approach to major projects unites our diverse market-leading global expertise with our locally experienced delivery teams. You will drive this approach in our applications for transport, taking on project leadership responsibilities and fostering innovation to strengthen Arup’s position as an industry leader. There may occasionally be an opportunity to lead water or energy projects in this role.

 

As a Senior Major Project Lead at Arup, you will:

Lead the design and delivery of complex transport, water and/or energy projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and develop innovative solutions using cutting-edge technology, supported by global expertise, to address specific industry challenges. Your commercial experience and your communication skills, along with your technical expertise, will be instrumental in your proven track record

 

Does this role inspire you?

We're looking for someone who is experienced in major project delivery and leadership and motivated by the influence innovation and engagement can have in market growth.  We also value:

  • 15+ years of experience in delivering innovative technical solutions on major projects for public and/or private sector clients.

  • Proven track record in commercial stewardship of major projects for public and/or private sector clients.

  • Expertise in geotechnics, tunnelling, or complex structures and a deep understanding of relevant industry standards

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire teams

  • Experience of working within or for a Contractor organisation

  • Fluency in the English language. Danish, Swedish or Norwegian is also of benefit.
