Arup is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Planner to lead and deliver integrated infrastructure planning projects across Indonesia and the broader ASEAN/APAC region. This role focuses on resilient and sustainable solutions across domains such as water, waste, flood management, and energy, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to strategic urban frameworks and masterplans, supporting climate resilience and infrastructure policy development.

The Opportunity

  • Deliver planning solutions across water, wastewater, drainage, energy, and ICT, aligned with city-scale strategies.
  • Contribute to urban development frameworks by integrating infrastructure with land use, housing, transport, and environmental systems.
  • Develop and review masterplans at neighbourhood and block levels, and provide policy and technical input for infrastructure decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables while supporting climate resilience and sustainability initiatives.
     

Is this role right for you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or urban planning; postgraduate studies preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure planning and consulting, with familiarity in Indonesian codes and practices.
  • Proficiency in GIS and CAD software, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across disciplines
