Arup Malaysia is seeking a Senior ICT Engineer to provide expert ICT consulting engineering services to our clients. This exciting opportunity allows you to take a client-facing role while being involved in the design and management of cutting-edge communications systems. As part of our Building Design team, you will contribute to the development of our ICT team, providing technical advice and shaping our in-house technical standards.

The Opportunity 

•    Design structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic systems, and manage network infrastructure projects.
•    Provide consultancy in IP data networking systems, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary design team.
•    Lead site visits, ensuring quality installation, commissioning, and monitoring of communications systems.
•    Prepare and review design documentation, including general arrangements, schematic drawings, and equipment schedules.
•    Mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of internal technical standards and specifications.

Is this role right for you? 

•    A relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related field.
•    7+ years of experience designing resilient ICT systems within a consulting environment, including structured cabling and MEP facilities for ICT.
•    Strong experience with RIBA/BSRIA design stages and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
•    Proficiency in digital engineering tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD (desirable).
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to write reports, prepare specifications, and manage client relationships.
