Senior Geotechnical Engineer

About the Role

As Geotechnical Engineer, you provide geo-technical advice and support in the design and construction phases of projects. You will design permanent and temporary structures, identify and mitigate geotechnical risks and advise on ingenious solutions for the many challenges the subsoil can present. To achieve this, you work in international, multidisciplinary teams consisting of a diverse group of people from both technical and non-technical disciplines.

With your analytical skills and attention to detail, you deliver high level technical products. Your advise is smart, practical and feasible, and you make full use of the knowledge and practical experience of your fellow engineers. Furthermore, you:

·         Define, supervise and interpret soil investigations;

·         Provide technical advice in the field of foundations, retaining structures, settlements, stability and ground improvement;

·         Apply advanced soil modelling, automated design processes;

·         Are responsible for the geotechnical scope as a member of a large multidisciplinary project team;

·         Actively contribute to the development of knowledge, skills and (automated) geotechnical design tools;

·         For every challenge, you see opportunities for continuous improvement of existing methods and techniques, as well as practical solutions

About you

We are looking for candidates who meet the following minimum criteria:

·         MSc degree in Geotechnical-, Geoscience-, or Civil Engineering ;

·         At least 8 years working experience as a geotechnical engineer in The Netherlands;

·         You fully support our strategy ‘sustainable development is everything’

·         Minimum B2 level in Dutch language;

·         Excellent verbal and written knowledge of the English language;

·         Good nuerical skills and affinity with digital development, for example data analysis, scripting and automation;

·         Enthusiasm combined with highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges;

·         A high degree of self-organization and a proactive work attitude;

·         You are a team player and an ambassador for our company.
