About this role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our vibrant and enthusiastic group based in Melbourne. 

What will I do?
The Melbourne team is now looking for a professional Geotechnical Engineer with a strong technical background who can support the delivery of commissions and major infrastructure projects while providing technical guidance to the junior members of the geotechnical team in Victoria and Australasia.
This will include:

  • Carrying out desktop research to develop a clear understanding of ground conditions at the project site; 
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders to fully understand clients' needs, project requirements and delivery;
  • Undertaking geotechnical design calculations for a range of projects;
  • Preparing well considered design solutions and detailed geotechnical reports;
  • Developing, designing, and managing small projects. This will involve coordinating people, facilities and resources within tight timelines and in line with budgetary constraints;  

What will I bring?

  • Degree in Geotechnics / Civil Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in geotechnical projects along with sound knowledge of geotechnical engineering;
  • Working toward or achieved chartered membership with IEAust or equivalent;
  • Parametric design, coding knowledge and implementation with experience in aspects of hydrogeology design; and
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective report writing.
