The Opportunity
Due to an increased workload Arup is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to support our industry leading team in Dublin and Cork. This is an amazing opportunity to join a geo-environmental team working on a diverse portfolio of high profile projects. Our team participates in research and is a actively involved in external expert group, hence any candidates will be required to demonstrate an enthusiasm to improve industry standards and sustainability in brownfield development. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in geo-environmental consulting or a related field. This role involves leading complex projects, providing expert advice, and contributing to the growth and development of our geo-environmental services.
As a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant at Arup, you will:
- Lead and manage geo-environmental projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct site assessments and risk assessments (GQRA and DQRA).
Design and procure geo-environmental site investigations,
- Advise on soil reuse, Regulation 27 and Regulation 28 applications.
- Develop and implement remediation strategies.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Contribute to business development and client relationship management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in geo-environmental consulting or a similar role.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Environmental Consultant or Professional Geologist) are a plus.
