The Opportunity

This is your chance to become part of a team of experts in the field and to be able to work in country-specific codes and planning standards for fire safety.

 

As a Senior Fire Engineer at Arup, you will:

  • Lead and deliver fire safety engineering services across a variety of projects.

  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and financials.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Develop fire safety strategies, shaping projects from concept through to completion.

  • Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams.

  • Mentor and support the development of junior engineers.

 

Does this role inspire you?

We are looking for a Senior Fire Safety Engineer to complement our growing Fire Safety team in Madrid. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary group delivering innovative and evidence-based fire safety solutions across diverse sectors and complex projects. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or similar studies, or related discipline.

  • 3+ years of experience in a fire engineering consultancy or similar environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of applicable Spanish legislation and fire safety best practices.

  • Experience applying both prescriptive and performance-based design approaches.

  • Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English (spoken and written).
