We apply this research to our work, providing comprehensive guidance for successful delivery of our clients’ projects.  

The Opportunity

This is your chance to be a designer in the Façades Team at the Arup Madrid. This team specializes in the design of architectural envelopes for various building types, with a focus on unique and innovative projects.

As a Senior Façade Designer at Arup, you will:

• Coordinate project teams and developing facade projects.
• Interact and coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, and industrial stakeholders involved in the projects.
• Develope architectural ideas, design proposals, and construction details.
• Determine performance objectives for building envelopes in collaboration with different engineering teams and sustainability consultants.
• Create project documentation, including details, reports, specifications, measurements, and budgets.
• Monitor and review projects.
• Provide technical assistance during construction (technical due diligence).

Does this role inspire you?

We are looking for someone that is willing to join a team of experts in the field. Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Degree in Architecture, Technical Architecture, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5-8 years of experience coordinating projects or specializing in facade design.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Proficiency in freehand drawing and sketching.
• Knowledge of 3D drawing and modeling software such as AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, and Revit.
• Fluent written and spoken skills in Spanish and English (C1 level).
• Interest in working on national and international projects, with a focus on sustainability, digital environments, and innovation.

Bonus if you have:

Experience in facade-related work, both in the office and on-site
