The Opportunity 

Our award-winning Business and Investor Advisory (BIA) team has been recognised as Global ESG Advisor of the Year for the last four years and are looking to add a Senior ESG Consultant/ESG Investor Advisory Manager to the team in either London (preferred), Manchester or Birmingham, working in a hybrid capacity. The Business & Investor Advisory team is comprised of c.150 FTEs serving Clients across UK, European and Global projects. The Team has won considerable industry recognition including numerous Global and European IJ Technical Advisor awards.   

In this role you will provide direction, technical knowledge and skills in guiding and managing the delivery of ESG due diligence for a range of investors across sectors including energy, transport, telecoms spaces. The Team currently service c. 50 transactions per annum, alongside a growing number of post transaction / advisory mandates. As a senior consultant within the team, you will form part of the leadership function and help shape the continued growth of this service line. You will be expected to contribute to ongoing business development and develop client relationships. Furthermore you will be a role model for junior consultants, creating a climate of trust, openness and a culture of recognition, managing team performance, ensuring performance objectives are set and expectations are clear.

Requirements:

  • An established project manager including monitoring project commercial, ensuring projects are delivered within the scope and agreed timelines.
  • Prior experience of at least one of the following:
    • ESG due diligence for buy side/vendor side/debt refinancing
    • ESG strategy (for investors or corporates).
    • ESG reporting (for investors or corporates).
    • ESG advisory (targeting performance improvements) for investors or corporates.         
  • A technical understanding of ESG regulations and reporting frameworks including EU Taxonomy and SFDR is preferable.
