The Opportunity

We have multiple opportunities for Senior Electrical Engineers looking for technically challenging work as part of a dynamic and growing team focussing on Energy, Water and Resources projects. You will be in a client-facing role, directing projects and help to develop and inspire junior engineers as part of an established MEICA Engineering delivery team. With a range of varied projects, working alongside mechanical, process, civil-structural colleagues, you will be able to develop your skills and play your part in some of the most interesting and exciting projects in the UK and around the world. These roles are open to our offices in Leeds, Whitehaven, Warrington, Sheffield, Manchester and Glasgow

Is this role right for you? 


As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will be a key part of the MEICA team; managing multi-disciplinary projects while providing technical support to other engineers and consultants. We are seeking experience in a professional Electrical design engineering capacity either within a consulting environment or working closely with a consultancy.  You will take an active role in pushing forward the skills and abilities of the electrical team members.  We value creative approaches and the desire to improve upon ‘the norm’ while staying grounded in the art of the possible.  

We are seeking the following skills and knowledge:

  • Strong technical ability
  • Ability to guide feasibility, full design duties and site stage activities of complex major and minor projects.
  • Experience of the IEE Wiring regulations, national and international standards
  • Appreciation and  experience of producing and interpreting complex or detailed design drawings and documentation.
  • Knowledge of relevant software design tools, techniques and related methods e.g. IT systems, Amtech etc.
  • Proficient in the  specification of development work as well as the interpretation and application of results.
