The Opportunity

Working in a multi-disciplinary environment, our electrical engineers aim to design buildings that maximise value for our clients whilst minimising their environmental impact. We are currently recruiting for Electrical Engineers with excellent design and technical skills who are in varying stages of their career to join our Building Services team in Manchester. You will join a collaborative team of over 35 engineers and technicians in the Manchester office and a wider team of 100+ engineers and technicians within the North West & Yorkshire region. Our Electrical Engineers play an active role in all stages of our projects from feasibility through to completion. We work across a number of sectors, in particular healthcare, but also datacentres, labs, commercial, residential, education, energy, sport and mixed-use developments. Some exciting local projects the team are currently working on include the North Manchester General Hospital and Manchester Town Hall, meaning you get to see your vision come to life. Is this role right for you?

We are looking for Electrical Engineers who can apply their engineering expertise to shape our projects. You will be able to demonstrate a background in the field of electrical building services design and have worked across a range of project scales and building types. Our Engineers play a part in the ever-increasing digital transformation of our business, seeking new ways to increase our efficiency through automation and to offer new services to our clients through our integrated digital approach to design. If you have a passion for design and an interest for architecture and sustainable building design this could be the role for you. 

Depending on your level of experience, you may have responsibility for leading the electrical building services design on our projects while mentoring and developing our junior engineers. You may be familiar with managing small teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects, and be able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness and develop successful client relationships. We are open to engineers in different stages of their career so if you have previous knowledge of these sectors please get in touch.

Requirements:

  • Chartered status
  • Knowledge of UK codes & standards,
  • You will be committed to your own professional development and looking for stimulating work to develop your engineering skills.
  • Experience of working within a BIM environment using Revit. 
  • BSc in Electrical Engineering or similar.
