The Opportunity
As a Senior Data Centre Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering cutting-edge data centre solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to Arup's global expertise in data centre design.
What you will do:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of data centre design principles.
- Undertake mechanical design elements for major data centre projects.
- Collaborate closely with general contractors, other engineers, architects, and project management teams.
- Manage the production of drawings.
- Prepare and coordinate mechanical reports and specifications.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of others, ensuring effective collaboration with engineers of other disciplines and project managers.
- Attend meetings and communicate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a passion for data center design. We also value:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field.
- Extensive experience in data centre design, including a proven track record on medium to large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver mechanical engineering solutions for major projects, specifically data centres.
- Experience leading teams on multi-disciplinary projects.
- A strong understanding of balancing engineering priorities on diverse projects.
- Proven ability to quickly develop successful client relationships.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in English.
