The Opportunity:

We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Data Insight team to work across our unique & wide-ranging portfolio of data projects. You will be expected to be a Power BI specialist within the team, focusing on delivering data-driven solutions in collaboration with both internal and external clients.

As a Senior Data Analyst at Arup, you will:

•    Have a strong focus on developing analytics solutions in Power BI and you will be expected to be a leader within the team on the adoption of Power BI           best practice.
•    Recognise client, end-user or other stakeholder needs, translate them into realisable data propositions and implement them as effective and valuable                 deployed applications.
•    Apply analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyse, and interpret extensive datasets, to find patterns and trends that deliver actionable
      insights.
•    Support and guide more junior team members in developing their careers and participate in Arup’s learning agenda
•    Build collaborative and functional relationships with peers in technical, business leadership and business development roles to help grow the team’s                portfolio of projects. 

Is this role right for you?

We're looking for someone who is passionate about driving innovation, setting standards, and motivating adoption of best practices across a team of data analysts/engineers/scientists. You'll also need:

•    A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields and five or more years of relevant industry experience, including                  significant demonstrable experience of analytics and dashboard solutions in Power BI.  
•    Significant Power BI experience, specifically implementing dashboard solutions and the ability to design calculations in DAX which are accurate, clear         and performant. Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Certification would be an advantage.
•    Experience in data modelling with SQL relational databases and writing structured, maintainable code in SQL and Python for data transformation and            analytics. 
•    Experience independently managing multiple projects, working with stakeholders to define business questions, timelines, and objectives.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tell compelling stories and adjust style to suit clients/stakeholders with varied technical       knowledge. Experience in client workshops and translating requirements into scoping documents is advantageous.
