The Opportunity

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic and collaborative to join our CPD team in Scotland, ideally in Edinburgh but we’re also open to Glasgow. You’ll be part of a team shaping sustainable and inclusive futures for towns and cities, working on a wide range of placemaking, transport and infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally. This role offers the chance to work directly with clients, contribute to bids and business development, and help deliver projects that make a meaningful difference to communities.

You’ll support and manage work across strategy, transport planning, business cases, regeneration and sustainability, while building strong relationships with public sector bodies, city governments, international organisations and infrastructure operators. Much of your work will involve helping clients navigate complex, long-term development challenges and supporting positive outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues from different disciplines, including planners, transport specialists, urban designers and sustainability experts, bringing together diverse perspectives on each project.

Is this role for you?

We’re expanding our team in Scotland and looking for enthusiastic built‑environment professionals to support a wide range of strategic, analytical and place‑focused projects.

  • Contribute to investment and business case development, including HMT Green Book–compliant cases.
  • Support visioning, strategy and storytelling for regeneration, development and infrastructure projects.
  • Work on strategic planning, urban governance, and advice on inclusive economic growth and innovation.
  • Carry out socio‑economic research, data analysis and baselining to inform project direction.
  • Deliver impact assessments across environmental, socio‑economic, equalities and health areas.
  • Provide input on funding, finance and delivery models, as well as project management support.
  • Bring strong communication, analytical and strategic‑thinking skills, supported by a relevant degree and a genuine interest in the built environment (e.g., regeneration, housing, transport, net zero).
