Our Americas Logistics team is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our office in New York. As a Senior Logistics Consultant, you will serve as a technical lead in the design of innovative building systems and automation for assets such as last-mile facilities, urban consolidation centers, healthcare campuses, science laboratories, manufacturing facilities, airports, rail stations. You will be responsible for integrating multidisciplinary engineering expertise to deliver complex, high-profile projects across a diverse portfolio of sectors.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Logistics Project Design Lead, responsible for the design process from concept design to construction administration.  
  • Logistics Project Operations Lead, responsible for integrating material movements into back-of-house and vertical transportation architectural and site designs.
  • Develop spatial layouts and programming for logistics operations, including loading dock layouts, material circulation, waste management, and storage solutions.
  • Engage with architects, engineers, and real estate leadership to embed operational systems and logistics functions within building layouts and site access strategies.
  • Grow the logistics practice and service offering, leading pursuits, building new technical skills and building relationships in the AEC industry.
  • Stay abreast and provide leadership on emerging technologies such as robotics, automation, and AI.
  • Mentor junior logistics team members, including improving design practices, spatial planning, operational flows layouts, and integration with architectural systems.
  • Provide QA/QC on logistics design milestones, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with project requirements.
  • Deliver impactful outcomes to our clients through rigorous technical expertise in forward and reverse material flows and related infrastructure.

Is this role right for you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Data Science) or Architecture.
  • At least 8 years of experience in logistics facilities design, warehousing operations management, or the implementation of logistics automation.
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with enthusiasm for leading new challenges and develop the practice.
  • Proven track record of working in multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects within scope, schedule and budget. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear and simple insights for senior stakeholders and clients.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
  • Preferred credentials: PE, AIA, AICP, CSCP, CPIM.

Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in New York is $158,000 to $165,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of New York will differ.
