We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Senior Civil/ Geometric Engineer to join our vibrant and enthusiastic Engineering team based in Auckland

About the role
As part of the Highways team, this role covers a broad range of commercial and project management skills relating to projects from urban and rural highways to local roads. You will be a key member of the team where your previous experience in project management for major infrastructure, road or transport projects will enhance the team’s portfolio of skills and expertise in this area.
This will include:

  • Working under minimal supervision within a defined area of responsibility on small and medium sized projects and being a key member of larger project groups;
  • Accountability for significant and complex activities or projects which will require to be responsible for predicting and planning future resources;
  • Responsibility for the development and implementation of longer-term strategic plans that will benefit the business; and 
  • Guiding the performance and development of others.  


About you
You will ideally have:

  • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar area and relevant industry experience and in depth knowledge in Civil Engineering;
  • Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership;
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills and effective report writing; and
  • Proficient in Design Software package, OpenRoads, 12D, C3D, MX.
